Do you have any special skill or talent you could teach someone else? Were/are you good in any subjects that you think you could help someone learn, like a tutor?
I am employed full time, but I also give pitching lessons (or batting) for softball players locally in a batting cage in my backyard every week. Currently, I only have one girl I give lessons to, but that's $30 a week extra....which I use for my fun money during the week, so that I don't have to take any out of my check each week. I use it for my nails twice a month and my lunch money for when I don't bring my lunch to work. At one point I had about 4-5 coming each week, at $30 a pop, so you do the math.
If you are good at a musical instrument, teach kids how to do it, for an hour a week (or more depending on your time/work load) at a reasonable price. You can find out what others are charging by calling others who do it and asking what they charge. I found out that I'm probably one of the cheapest pitching coaches around by hearing from one girls' dad that they had gone to someone else for $50 an hour before they found me.
Anyway, HTH.
