When do you submit your taxes? Are you a procrastinator or a "jump on it now" sort of person?

I send everything to the CPA as soon as I get DH's W-2, most years we owe a little and when we owe I don't mail it until the very last minute on April 15th.

I usually prepare ours sometime in February. If we owe on the State, I'll send it off closer to April 15th.

As soon as i have everything I need. And sometimes I start putting it into the computer as I get it (I use Turbo Tax), and then file as soon as I know it is all in there.

When the accountant makes our appointment.
Dh had the first business tax appt yesterday (they are filed earlier) and we'll have a personal tax appt in Jan or Feb. Dh actually works on taxes all year, he has to keep a ledger of all expenses and profits and plan for payroll taxes (since we are a LLC and he pays himself). Taxes never seem to end here

As soon as I get everything together, I do our taxes and send them in.

We file as soon as we can. My dh is an accountant and tax season is busy so he likes to get it out of the way. Also the refund is nice to have.

Like someone else said... I don't want the Gov. to have my money any longer than they have too.
We plan to change things so we don't get too much back next year.
We could use the extra money each paycheck. That would help with debt.

I normally don't rush to get it done but this year the refund will come in really handy, so I'm going to try to get it in ASAP!
