If you make New Years resolutions, do you make any concerning finances (ie; I'm going to stick to a budget, I'm saving for vacation, I won't take my Husband's change off the kitchen counter, etc).

Dh and I do talk about financial goals. Some of our goals are very specific, others are not. I'd like to quantify those non-specific goals (such as "put more in savings") so that we can really stay on track.

Yes! We are paying down our mortgage and I fully expect us to pay off $50,000 of it by this time next year!

I never have before, but this year I definitely will! I don't know the exact amount at the moment but I want to have a certain amount in savings.

I plan to save more than the $1K baby EF for this year. The $1K just disappeared too quickly and was not able to be easily replaced. '07 was not a good year for us. We had the normal car issues associated with an older vehicle (not a surprise there). DH had some health issues, and even though we have decent insurance, having to pay the deductibles for 3 procedures plus an overnight hospital stay have really hurt us the past few months. Plus, the prescriptions didn't help and the deductible for the ambulance didn't help. The good news is he should only have one more procedure, and this should be corrected.
