My DH delivers pizza 2 nights a week. We needed the extra money and he enjoys getting out for those 2 nights a week. The best part is that on the nights he works, we get 50% off our order!!!

We both pick up side jobs, but dh does more than me. He fixes computers, does vinyl signs, plows snow, and works for my dad when has has extra work with his business. We live in a small town so we put up signs in our local party stores. Although we haven't advertised in years he still gets computer calls. Most of his vinyl jobs come from word of mouth. Some years I don't know how we would have survived without side jobs.

My DH gives private swim lessons for kids and adults. It is strictly through word of mouth, but it has really helped! He charges 25.00 per 1/2 hr. lesson, and anything we make from the lessons goes right to savings.

Good luck, I hope some jobs come your DH's way

My hubby has worked side jobs in the past. He has delivered pizzas, a waiter at applebee's, and done construction work (like for people in their homes). It is awful!!! He is gone before the kids get up in the morning. We have church on Sundays and Wednesdays. And when he did side jobs, mostly three (sometimes four) nights a week. So the kids hardly saw him and it was so hard. My kids like to be with their daddy. My oldest son, you can actually tell in his attitude when he hasn't seen his daddy for more than a day or two. It is very hard and just doesn't work for us.

But if you are looking I do recommend the pizza delivery. Pay isn't good, but the tips are awesome! Hubby normally came home with over $70 in tips each night.

My husband is a construction worker, so sometimes we have to live off of those side jobs. It is all word of mouth for him. He did make up some business cards on our computer. He would love to just work for himself and have me take business classes. Yuck!

He gets paid $10 - $20 an hour for easy things like mowing, raking, cleaning a couple of older couples pools, putting up and taking down seasonal decorations, painting, weeding, shoveling in the winter time, cleaning out gutters and so on. It helps out. It is nice that he can pick if he wants to or not and that when he does we have that much more to put in savings or use to go on a date.
He does really well with it and he gets work by satisfied customers speading the word.

DH is a computer network engineer/admin so he works on computers for co workers, friends, neighbors and family on the side. He also gets side work through word of mouth.

We both work full-time jobs and have side jobs. I have a side job as a jeweler for a direct sales jewelry company. My dh has many different side jobs: automobile mechanic, buy/sell vehicles, farm mechanic, welder, semi mechanic, new home construction, landscaping, he can do most anything. The only thing that kept our heads above water this year was his buying/selling vehicles. He has a great knack for knowing what to buy doing a bit of work and peddling it quickly.
