I use Turbotax also. It is quick & easy. My information is saved from the previous year and makes it a lot simpler.

I guess I should really truely consider doing my own taxes, huh? I had no idea that so many of you do your own taxes! So with TurboTax software, you can buy it once and keep using the same one for the years to come? or do you buy a new one each year?? (It may be a dumb question... but if I don't ask, I wount know... )

You need to acquire new software every year. However, the software is always free through the irs.gov website and you don't pay anything unless you opt to file electronically.

I have an accounting degree, but still use Turbo Tax. It just makes it a no-brainer and walks you through everything!

ugh
I've been debating on whether or not to do them this year.
We've been paying H&R block to do it for us for what seems forever.
Not very worth it...
There's so many choices out there I might go w/ someone else.

Yes Turbo tax is Great isen't it??

I cannot see Paying anyone else to do our taxes!! Ecspecially somewhere like hrblock or Jackson Hewitt..... Seems like a Rip off to Me

If you go somewhere like turbotax.com- they walk you through every step and It is hard to make a Mistake. I can't see how an accountant Could Do much more with our Taxes Anyway, everything is Clear cut and Easy.

The software accuracy check Pretty much Makes sure everything is right for you too.

I have my CPA husband do our taxes. If my spouse weren't a CPA, we would definitely hire one. As people's tax returns become more complicated, it gets increasingly more important to enlist the help of a CPA. They can help you find deductions you may have missed with can help defray (or even pay for) the cost of hiring him. Plus, he or she can give valuable financial advice that a tax program can't give you. Plus, their name is also on the line if you get audited. I'd say it's worth every penny!
