We do our own Taxes. We tried having someone do them a couple of years ago because I had rented out my house and then sold it. So we thought it would be hard and didn't want to make mistakes. We went to a major Tax prep company and they were clueless. We knew more about it than they did. They almost cost us a lot of money. But we helped her muddle through it and we are doing our own Taxes again....

We go to H and R Block every year...but that is for one main reason...When I plug the info into the Turbo Tax website, the amount it tells me we would get back if I filed is WAY lower than what HR Block gets us.

SO, to us, the extra grand or so is way worth the $80 to pay them to do it.

I am self employed so I use Hr Block. There are too many papers, and I dont want to get audited. To me it is worth it.

I've always done our taxes, I actually really enjoy doing it so husband just leaves it all to me. Also, the ATO (Australian Tax Office) has made it easy with an e-atx program so we can submit it all online. Our taxes are very straightforward though, so is not hard.

e tax is the best, we use it too I did all of our taxes in an hour and it saved us $240.00 in tax agent fees. Ours are really straight forward too. Ohhh I also got a refund of over $1000.00.

The Calculators at Turbo Tax and everywhere Are Off -

BUT when you actually File the numbers Climb up.

We are getting back about 5,000 MORE than the Original Calculations this Yr. Unfortunatly We waaaaay Overpaid this Yr.!

Turbo Tax Is So easy!

IT Walks you through and Checks and Rechecks, It is Very Acurate.

Even if you do go to Hrblock or Other place, you can Get still get an audit.
