Just remember that if you are getting back a bunch of money, then you are giving them too much out of your paycheck. For me that is anything over $600. The government doesn't deserve your interest free loan. Having it all year does far more for you. If you use it as a way to save, look into other ways to keep from spending it. Even savings accounts pay interest.

Add one to your exemptions on the W-4 to reduce what they take out.

I know this is A Big Debate on this Board -
And I will Say I do tottally agree!

IMO - The More We Have all yr. the less we have to Charge and the more we can Save!!
If you can't Trust Yourself to Save it - have your bank transfer it on Payday right into your emergency fund!
We Overpaid this Yr. By .... About 12,000- And This is the First yr. I am not at all thrilled! We could've earned About 500.00 in interest on that if it was in our Interest bearing account !!

So We re- did Our W-4 Again ( Go to Internal Revenue Service) and this Yr. Our Paychecks will be about 500.00 more in our pocket each pay. No Interest free loans and No waiting till 2009 To get our Money back.

That is a Great feeling!!
