Welcome! I'm glad to see that you've faced reality with your financial situation. If you stick with the debt repayment plan it'll only get better from here on out!
I also suggest reading Dave Ramsey's "The Total Money Makeover". I heard about Dave when I found this site about 6 months ago. I heard SO much about him I finially went out and bought his book (there was a list to get it from the library). I LOVE Dave! He really has changed the way I look at money. DH & I now listen to his podcasts every night. We finally have a clear plan of what to do with our money and the debt for once doesn't seem so scary. Once we had a plan about how to tackle the debt it really changed the way we looked at the amount we owed. We're now throwing HUGE chuncks of money at our debt and it is all because of Dave. I can't say enough good things about him!
The Forget the Joneses Project has also been great in looking at the day to day spending. It's amazing how much money I spent in a month on things I thought we needed. I have learned that and so much more about myself just doing the FTJ.
Good luck on killing that debt! It feels good to watch it disappear!
