Have you and your dh got a retirement plan? Are you investing for your nest egg? Are you meeting your yearly goals and how many more years to go?

Gee, I really needed 2 choices!! We have a very good retirement acct going, but we also plan to work until it is no longer physically possible. One of the drawbacks of having children late in life is that they are still costing you lots of money as you near retirement age

We're currently looking into things concerning our retirement. We need to get all of our personal and business taxes, and finances current and up to date, before we can do all that though.

Dh had a Good Retirement plan through work. I Hope to Start an IRA this Yr.

our "plan" is For Me to work from about 40 yrs. old to about 60 ( Or Later) - That will be at least 20 yrs. that I can Be working and Maxing out 401 k Contributions.

Also Dh is going to start Buying Real estate for rental properties this yr. and we Hope that Income Will Continue After We Can't work and We want to Fully Retire.

I personally am looking Forward to Working and Dh Is a Work a Holic ....so I cannot See us retireing Before we really have to.
Ask Me again in 15 yrs. and I might be Ready then to Stop working!

Yes, we have a 401k we try to max out and his company is great with 100% match and gives yearly bonus into our account as well(also cash and stock bonuses-I really love my dh's company!). My goal this year is to also max out IRAs for me and dh as well. We are in our 20s so we are doing pretty good. We plan on my dh taking early retirement maybe 55 or so and doing alot of traveling, but I think he'll get bored so he'll probably still do something part time. I don't see myself ever working full time again, just part time.

dh has 401k thru work they match the first 8% we just upped it to the max allowed by law. also we do keep a small amount of it in his companies stock(we don't have to keep any thru the plan) because every time the stocks hit 100 bucks a share they split we then take the split and move it to the regular market this last summer it split several times a week for a 120 day period so we really gained. we both also have roth ira's as well. dh if he retires with his company also gets a pension and medical reimbursment payments everymonth.. its a great package thats why he puts up with the bull crap its hard to find a package as good as he has anywhere around here.

No we are not and that is one of our plans for this year. On the bright side, my husband is younger than I am!

Actually thanks to my dad, widsom and knowledge on how to manage money, I can retire now, but I am too hyper too

I enjoy having the freedom that having my own money gives me!

My DH has a 401K. We are working on getting enough saved to open a Roth Ira for me. If we had to retire today we aren't even close to being set.
