Does it impact your decision on who you'll vote for? What role does the economy/keeping taxes low/inflation etc. play in your political outlook? Is it important, or not-so-important?

the state of the economy will not be a determining factor in my voting this election. i think people vote according to the factor(s) that directly affect their lives. people without health insurance would find that to be the most important issue. for me it is the war in iraq since my son is a navy pilot who has seen too much war.

#1 issue. if Obama gave us the fair tax, I'd vote for him. Otherwise, I gotta go with anyone but Hilary or Obama. They both seem to be socialists to me.

It is just too difficult for me to take one topic and say, "I'm voting for that guy (or gal) because they believe in ___________." I need the complete package -- and of course complete packages make it that much harder to vote for someone.

It is pretty important to me, it is the foundation for most of the other issues. It is not the only thing I base my vote on though

The economy is only one part of it for me, I'm also concerned about education, health care and taxes.

Hillary Clinton was in town last week, Obama was here yesterday and we had Bill Clinton today, I watched all their rally's live on TV and they are making lots of promises, not sure I can trust either one.

The economy is VERY important to me. I don't want anyone who will spend blindly or will raise my taxes.

Economics is the basis of EVERYTHING in politics. That is why I believe all students need to take an economics class to graduate high school in order to really understand the world.

But, then again, I was an economist before I was a sahm. So, I am probably biased.

I think its really hard to vote for what the candidates say they are going to do because... well, we know the track record for campaign promises.

The economy unfortunately is what determines where we get spending cuts, tax breaks and social benefits. I think it depends on where the candidate feels that our tax money is better used. I still haven't decided who I will be voting for, but I'm optimistic that this election with change things for the better!
