Ladies am I the only one here who transfers prescriptions just to get the gift card ? I thought it was an actual something I could use anywhere but it's only for that store. I had bad customer service at the drug store I've been using for years and that was a big incentive for me.

I have... well not really transferred but it was a new RX. It was only $10 but it was better than nothing!

I have gone to a different place to fill a new one before. I had a $10 coupon for the store if I did so, and the medication was free because it was generic so I made $10 on the deal.

I haven't transferred b/c I am happy with the pharmacy, but I HAVE used the $10 coupons/gift card offers for new perscriptions....but that was all in the timing.

No. I'm very happy with the service I've received at CVS & don't care to go globe-trotting for discounts. I like that they have all my Rx on file so they can make sure there are no drug interactions with something I'm already on, if I have a new Rx. The pharmacist knows me by name and I appreciate that interpersonal relationship. We do get a few ongoing Rx by mail order w/ our insurance, as they are costly asthma inhalers, but most are just small co-pays and I prefer to support my local store.

No, but i have a lot of allegercy and the druggiest I have been going to for the last 30 years knows all of them He keeps a close eye on all my medication.

Back in Nov. Dh got a flu bug and we went to a clinic in wal-mart. They gave him 3 types of med and we went to the wal-mart pharmacy to get them filled. (Our regular drug store closes at 6) well we set there from 6:30 to after 8.

I was so mad, and complain several times to the manager, but of course they had a thousand excuses.

I will never use the wal-mart pharmacy again!!

When we got CVS last year I transferred all our perscriptions because of the $25 gift card. Luckily we had met our deductible and coinsurance for the year so I was reimbursed for the full amount of the perscription by the insurance company. (We pay full amount and then the cost goes towards our deductible and coinsurance. After both are met we are reimbursed fully. No copays on our plan.) It was like getting free money from CVS that I could turn around and use for another perscription or buy items to earn ECBs. I wish I could find more coupons for the $25 gift card because CVS is the only place around here that does this.

I didn't transfer but I brought in a new prescription. We don't use prescription meds too often but I had surgery and needed my pain killers filled and we used a different pharmacy because of the $10 giftcard. The first round wasn't bad and to fill both prescriptions cost only $10. They gave us a coupon to get a $5 store credit if we refilled the prescriptions so when the time came we did - but this time they charged us $20 to refill and didn't even have enough of one of the pills on hand. I'll be sticking with who we normally use from now on.

I do this all the time. Mostly late last year for things I only fill once or twice a year. I did it at Albertsons, Winn-Dixie, Rite Aid, & CVS. Lots of free money for us. I do not do it for our monthly prescriptions as I do not want to run around to get them, though.
