I completely understand the issue of not wanting to get a lawyer. As a teacher, it is always hard when we are teaching our students to be better people, but our field of experts doesn't always do that. Wishing you the best on whatever you decide on.

As a high school teacher myself, I can empathize with you. As teachers, we feel as though our jobs are recession proof. Do they need a FT teacher rather than a PT? Could you go back if you went back FT?

I am so sorry to hear this. Are you a union member? If so contact them immediately. This sounds fishy to me. Usually special ed is a critical shortage area here.....
