I am wondering if there is anyone that invest their money into stocks or gold? and what kind of stocks do you invest in? how has the experience been?
We are thinking about opening an investment account with Schwab, anyone has been happy about investing with them or do you recommend any other brokerage company?

We haven't started yet....we want to get a solid emergency fund set first. I have heard only good things about Schwab! Good luck

We have our investment account with Smith Barney, we used to be with Merrill Lynch but our investment guy moved to Smith Barney and we went with him.

We haven't invested in individual stocks but have invested in mutual funds. There are some great books out there with simple straightforward advice on investing. My favorite is:

Amazon.com: The Motley Fool You Have More Than You Think : The Foolish Guide To Personal Finance: David Gardner,Tom Gardner,Inc Motley Fool: Books

We have company & individual stocks and also mutual funds. We go thru our local investment center and the individual we work with is very diligent with what you want and how it will work for you.
