Iam like you I wan tthe best deal for the buck...I have found the prices on www.fitzmall to be great for cars...they are a no haggle dealership with awesome service....if they are not close your local dealer should be able to match or beat those prices ...also Carsdirect is another site I have found great and if you don't like to haggle you can get a great price via the internet at a local dealer using this service...negotiating via phone or email can net you a few hundred cheaper...if you are a good negotiator....remember they like for you to come in ...they like to get personal and share and have you share about your family so they develope a relationship there for they can have you like them and therefore sell you a car for hopefully more money....just keep that in mind...they are nice...even nicer if you will pay more for the car then the previous customer! I found this very interesting....

We Never will Buy Brand New. We always Go with a Yr. or Two Old.
It really seems to Not Make sense driving a Car off a lot and Losing thousands! not Fair!!

Last time we bought , We Bought an 03 van in 04 and It only had 8,000 miles AND it was About 12,000 Cheaper Cause it was Used.
It still had the Balance of the warrenty too!

This is what I did w/ my HHR. It had 3000 miles on it and I got it for about 6000 less than Kelly Blue Book Value.

Try Used Cars, New Cars, Buy a Car, Sell a Car, Car Dealers - AutoTrader.com and Buy New & Used Cars, Research Prices, Sell My Car, Find Auto Dealers for used vehicles. You will get a much better price from the private market.

we buy used and pay cash we will never have a car payment again.. its a waist of money and a good used car can last if well maintained.

Well, it is not an option for us to buy new. But if we could, I would probably buy a car that was almost new. Like one year old? Then I would still get a warranty, but save money. I just bought a 1999 Plymouth Voyager(The title says grand voyager, but it doesn't say it on the car anywhere?) and I love it. But my hubby can work on cars.

In 2005 I need a new car as mine was bought new back in 98 and had a lot of miles on it, and I was finishing up my degree and driving an additional 100 miles a day back and forth to college, so i need one that was more dependable.

So i decided to buy one that was slightly used or a demo from a dealer. Well after checking around the demo was higher than a brand new one, because at that time GM was offering some pretty good rebates.

So what i would do is check and see if any of them are offereing any good rebates or 0% financing.

If not then a slightly use one is the best way to go for your money.

I would go with used, but just barely. Like a year old. Mine now is from a rental car fleet that was changing. It only had about 6,000 miles on it but it was WAY cheaper than new. We are not mechanical so we wanted something that would hopefully hang in there for a while.

My dad on the other hand would buy junk cars off the street for like $75 or $100 and fix them up, and we'd drive them for a couple years, when I was a kid. No lie. I always thought it was amazing how he did that.

I was a new car only girl until I found the car I drive right now. Now I'm a newer used car girl!
I got a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix is January of 2007 with 16,000 miles for about 14,000 cheaper than a brand new one!! And it was 4,000 under Kelley Blue Book value as well. Still under warranty and in great physical condition.

Try to find a demo car maybe. They're usually gently used at a great deal!
