I just came back from the Dollar Tree and got my friend who is a garden lover a gardening bag, gloves and a few packets of seeds. Any suggestions on what else I can put in the bag? Maybe a book on gardening if I can find one cheap enough?

* Sun hat
* Sun block
* Burts Bees lip balm with sun screen
* out door clogs/garden shoes
* a cute pot and a baggie of soil with a ribbon around it

Look at used book stores for gardening books-- you might find one that looks brand new

Small gardening tools? I know our Dollar Store had some.

If you can't find a book cheap enough, how about a gardening magazine instead?

Someone once gave me some row markers (for my vegetable garden). They were just rocks, and the person painted them with the words: carrots, peppers, etc. Didn't cost anything and I really love them.

Another thought is a watering can.

Good idea!! I don't know why I didn't think of that. I bought magazines as a stocking stuffer for the adults in the family last Christmas
