No, not in detail anyway. My parents don't even know how much my husband makes. I prefer it that way.

In opinion,it is better to learn the tricks on our own and not depend on others. If it is real sticky one, then why not consult an expert and get your queries
solved ?

I am extremely lucky - I can talk to my best friend in details about what is going on & she completely understands - she is more or less in the same boat & we are trying to get eachother in line...

I am so lucky. My middle daughter has degrees in accounting and a MBA. Right now she is a sahm, but she keeps up on financial news. She takes care of all my accounting and has everything set up on my computer so i can see what is going where. Linda

I talk to my fiance about financial stuff. We live together, so it's kind of obvious we should talk about it...

I also talk to my mom. When I'm proud of paying something off I tell her. But my mom's always been one of my best friends, so I talk to her about everything.

My parents or my sister and her DH. We don't talk about our whole finances, just what their thoughts are on the markets, stocks, bonds, cds, stuff like that. If it was to deal with personnel money that would only be talked about with my parents probably.

Our family and friends don't know if we are eating out of the dumpster or have steaks and lobster every night. And I prefer it that way. My dh and I talk about it on a weekly basis since I handle most of the finances. Since he and I run the household, we're all that really need to know IMO.

I complained once to a few family members about our $900 car repair that couldn't have come at a worse time (2 weeks before Christmas). On Christmas Day in front of everybody my dad said "are you still talking about that? Let it go. It's just money, you can't take it with you". I was so hurt 'cuz I rarely complain about finances to my family. I don't discuss it with anyone because if we really needed help, we don't know anyone that would be in a position to help us other than just listening.
