I buy my milk in 1/2 gal bags from our local Kwik Trip and the price just went down.

For 1% (and 2%) it went from $1.54 1/2 gal to $1.44 1/2 gal. WooT!!

I know you're all sick of hearing me talk about how cheap our milk is, but I went to Kroger yesterday, and it's still $1.25 per half gallon including chocolate for that price.

If gas wasn't so high, I would drive over there and stock up Unfortunately, I don't think I would save money in the long run!

Just last night I was calculating how much cheaper something would have to be to justify an eight mile round trip to get it.

Is that sad, or what?

Sad, but true. Our closest grocery store (any store for that matter) is 10 miles away (driveway to parking lot) so it has to be pretty much of an emergency for me to venture into town on a "non-errand" day

Yup Kroger gallons 2/$5...when it's not on sale there I always buy at Rite Aid or CVS...usually under $3/gal.
