I finally found a use for those annoying silver ties that hold new toys in their packaging.

1) I let the kids make bracelets, keychains, ornaments and necklaces by string beads on them.

2) I use them to tie up bread bags or garbage bags.

Somehow it makes me feel better knowing that after the twenty minutes it takes to unwrap the toy, I get something out of it!

You know I hate those twist tie things, some toys stay in without those I dont know why the manufacturers waste their time and money using those darn things. Sometimes they use more than enough!

I think they have so many to prevent theft...especially the toys where they are just sitting in the open on a box instead of actually being in the box. Still...they are a pain in the butt.

we save them here too just becuse they are longer than most ties you can get we use them for the wires on the back of the entertainment center to keep it all neet and also the computer cables too. Also all the extention cords around the house for storage and all my dh's extra computer cables. They are nice when storing the christmas lights after takeing them done also. I like the braclet Idea too.
