Do you have someone you look up to financially. Someone who isn't necessarily wealthy but manages their money in a way that inspires you?

my parents.
when i was growing up and i wanted something, and they said they didn't have the money, I knew they had money saved up,
but to them, that $$ was for emergencies. it didnt count towards the daily $$ fund
I didnt get it then,
but i do now.
even to this day,
*if they have a little extra money, they never spend it and say, lets just blow the money on a vacation....omg, my parents would never do that!
but, this is the way the've managed to always have money saved up.
*live like the savings are not there.

Honestly not really.

My parents are kind of weird when it comes to this. They are thrifty in some ways, but don't ever balance their check book and don't have a budget. They don't really need to because my father makes enough money, but I just keep thinking they would probably have a lot more in savings if they had a budget. But they never have credit card debt and always gave me the best things in life growing up.

I take different things from different people and try to create what is best for my family and myself.

Yes, my parents are financial geniuses as far as I'm concerned. They chose just the right careers and planned for their retirements, and everything just turned out great for them at retirement financially.

My parents. I didn't understand their logic when I was growing up, but I sure do now! They are set, as I hope dh and I are at their age.
