I can't give you specific advice about your own situation, but I do have dental insurance and can share what I know about mine. The big thing that is covered usually 100% is PREVENTATIVE care...in other words, regular checkups and cleaning. All other work, such as the fillings, tooth removal etc they only pay a portion but usually not all. I'm not sure if your wisdom teeth are actually bothering you now, or just they've been recommended to be removed. They're wanting me to get my children's (teens) wisdom teeth removed, but I'm doing it after they're out of school as it's not an emergency, just something they're recommending so they don't crowd their teeth. So if you're not having problems now, I guess I'd suggest waiting on anything not urgent until you have the insurance. Even if they don't pay it all, like ours, some is a help.
