I used to think this way, but don't anymore. I hope my niece will save up for her next car. Her current car was given to her by her parents. I hope she will save up till she can pay cash for the next one.

If you can use a card and pay it off every month then great, but I also think too many people don't. We did for MANY years. And then one month we didn't pay off the full balance and it just rose from there. I don't think college kids are the most responsible people out there. Lord knows I wasn't. I just want her to learn from my mistakes and not have to learn her own! (although I'm sure she will)
