I'm probably a five. I try to make everything from scratch. I don't use coupons b/c I wasn't saving enough to justify the cost of the paper, and mostly they're for convenience foods. I'll buy things used. I am good about impulse buys. We have a small house, small car. But I do like nice clothes for the whole family.

I'm probably a 5 as well. I vary rarely eat out, and make everything from scratch. I clip coupons, but sometimes forget to take them.

I'm gonna give myself a 4 almost a 5. I know there are ways to save money, but I don't always do them. I clip coupons and use them, but have found myself actually buying MORE because I have the coupons. We rarely shop for anything other than food, and we don't eat out, only see movies on occassion.

yep...8.5
This me...no cable...less than $10/month for internet, only out to eat about 2x a month, I buy alot of my clothes at Goodwill...or on clearance. I always do coupons for groceries (unless I am shopping at Aldi), and I sign up for all freebies. :D So, I guess that would make me around an 8 1/2 or 9!

I would say I'm a 5. I cook from scratch, cut and use coupons, I have a small but growing stockpile, we have one car, shop sales, and I have only bought maybe 10 pieces of clothing for my entire family (4) in the last 3 years. BUT all that work is countered by our recent eating out and we have the big cable package and fast internet.

I'm probably a 5, but an 8 wanna be. I cut coupons and use them, I wait for sales for things (never pay full price) I do buy my kids nice clothes, but never full price. However, I have found all my deal hunting is costing me a lot because I buy a lto we don't need. For example a few weeks ago I went to the mall and bought dd a lamp at pottery barn that I had lliked in the catalog, but it was 129, well they were selling the floor model at the store, so i bought it, it looks great in her room, but she really did not need it. So i now am trying to only spend what we need and I am taking it month by month. I know it is only the fourth day of october, but all I have spent this month is $30 in groceries (to supplement what we already have for a week and a half of meals) and 46 for ds swimming lessons. This is huge for me and I am kind of on a high not spending money!

Yeah, we are pretty cheap.:D

Are we twins in cheapness? This is me also!

I was going to give myself a 6, but after reading others, I'd have to say a 5. I work very hard to feed and clothe my family for as little as possible.

But, we do eat out about 1 or 2 times a week and we do have the fancy sattelite/internet bundle. This is our only entertainment expense though. We haven't been to a movie in over a year and we haven't rented one in probably 2 or 3 months!

Also, I did pull a Fisher Price Ramps around Garage out of someone's trash last week! LOL Dh just rolled his eyes when I told him, but when he saw it he was impressed! (I actually rang the lady's doorbell and got her OK before I dug through her trash. I had seen it in her pile for several days and had already planned to get it when it went to the street!)
