If you do a monthly budget, and you get paid every other Friday keep in mind you might get 3 paychecks in May instead of the usual 2. Plan ahead what you are going to do with that money. We are going to buy a family swim pass and put the rest into savings.

We're using half towards the principal and using some for our vacation @ the end of this year

I love the months that fall like that. For my DH's fulltime job he will get 5 paychecks and with his part-time sales position he will get 3 checks.
May will be a happy dance month!!!!!!

my dh gets paid weekly so every 3 months he gets an extra check this one in may will pay for ds's b-day and the rest we usually put down on our debts.

We are on the other 3 paycheck cyle...DH had 3 in Jan so we don't have another 3 check month until July. Doesn't really matter...it never "feels" like extra money

Technically I get 3 paychecks next month, but 2 of those have to go to rent, so really this month is when I got the extra pay check, cause my rent was paid out of the last pay of March, the first of April paid everything else and this one that I just got is "extra".

For some reason that never seemed to work out for me with the 3rd payday. There were still bills due.
