I was hoping the emerald card might be the same as direct deposit, but apparently it doesn't. We won't get ours until June. I think that is good though. We will be very careful with what we have now, and may be able to use that towards vacation or a home spruce-up.
If had your taxes taken out of your refund, and had your refund deposted onto an H&R block Emerald card, you will be getting a check in the mail. I guess if you paid for your taxes upfront(and didn't do a rapid refund) and you got your refund on the Emerald card, you should get your rebate on there too. But I didn't get that from the irs website, just a few different other sites where people were asking tax pros questions.
