i just read a report that they predict gas will be over $200 barrel by 2012. due to high demand! our poor kids will never see $1.75 a gallon. if prices are up that high for gas can u imagine food.

I'm glad we're moving to 'civilization'! Around here, you can't GET places WITHOUT driving. We're extremely rural

Today I paid $3.71 a gallon for the cheapest unleaded.

I am trying to convince my husband to start taking the bus to work ($3.50 round trip) at least once a week.

One of our cars is small and very fuel-efficient but it makes me nervous when my DH drives it because most people around me still have HUGE cars. DH sees at least one accident a day driving to or from work. I wonder how high gas will have to rise until some people downsize. (I understand some people need a large van, SUV, truck, etc. but most people I know go w/the "bigger is better" explanation.)

The news said that in order to reach $4.oo a gallon gas would have to be $14?.xx a barrel and some analyst said they don't see it reaching that anytime soon maybe never. You never know.

Its pretty crazy when you think $3.40 is cheap for gas.
