We are doing Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and are a little more than halfway through our $49k+ debt snowball. April was a dud month as we owed more on taxes than we had anticipated (self-employed) so we only sent the minimum payments into our three remaining debts. Also, DH birthday was on the 18th and his folks came to visit on an earlier weekend...so spending was out of control this whole month, bleck. I am gearing myself up to having a garage sale like Dave mentions where you sell so much the dog or kids are hiding. My question is about my son's baby clothes. He's 2 1/2 and the number of boxes of outgrown clothes keep multiplying - do I save them in the hopes of #1. having another child and #2. next baby is same sex and born around the same time of year for the winter/summer clothes? A little background info: it took us almost 4 years to conceive our son and I will be 34 soon AND we don't even have maternity coverage on our health insurance. I THINK I would like a sibling for our DS, but we haven't made the switch to really trying to get pg again.
So, do I sell the clothes for the $$ and to clear a little breathing space in our small house or hang onto them for the sake of possibly having another boy???
