If you could go back in time and tell your 17 year old self something about money...what one thing would you tell yourself?



I'd tell myself to make sure I save some money too.

Take all the money you will spend at the mall in the next 4 years on cookies at the cookie factory & put it in the bank. You will save money and pounds that you will never be able to reverse.

My 17 self didn't need advice.........it was my 37 self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd simply say:

RUN!!!!

Mine is a little different. I would tell myself to spend a little on myself - it is ok to spend money, too.

I was and still am addicted to savings accounts. Sometimes that can go the other extreme, too.

Definitely tell myself to slow down. I came into a lot of money when I was 17 and bought bought bought.

ETA - Changed my mind - I would tell myself to do what I thought was right for ME, not what everyone else thought I should do.

I can be whatever I want to be even though I already have a child. Go to college and become a lawyer.
