My mom and our friend(lives with my mom) are driving me crazy with all their talk of when the rebate checks are coming. Mine is coming towards the end of June. I do not expect it to come any sooner, no matter what I hear. All the sites I have found online say that the rebates are starting to come to those who would have gotten them this Friday, starting yesterday. So all that means to me, is that possible everyone will get theirs up to 4 days earlier. I told my mom maybe she will get hers next Monday then, since she was scheduled to get next Friday. She told me that my friend read on some website that those who were getting paper checks would now have them by the end of May. I told her I hadn't heard that, but I would look it up. That was Sunday. So last night she calls me to see what I had heard. She had heard that everyone getting thier direct deposited, would get them by the end of this week. I told her I looked all over(not for my benifit, but so I had something to tell her, so she wouldn't be getting her hopes up) and put in tons of different searches online, and the only thing I saw was that they were starting to do the deposits early because of some new updated software, and that the first 50 billion dollars would be sent out by the end of May.
Has anyone else seen some website with this theory that all the checks would be here by the end of May? I think some nut is feeding them incorrect information. My mom is going to call me again today, and I want to tell her she was misinformed.

I have tried that link. I tried telling her that the irs did not have any iformation on an updated schedule.
I even told them that all the morning news shows I watched yesterday talked about the rebates coming a few days early, and none of them mentioned what she was telling me.
There was some website she mentioned that they got the news from, but I can't remember if she called it foxfire, or firefox. I couldn't find anything.
