My car insurance company will go after him but I want my car repaired before our baby is born so our car is safe. It sounds horrible but this kid will never pay. My agent said he will most likley take him to small claims court but he didn't have insurance and he had a expired license so hes not going to be the type to just hand over the money. but if and when he does pay I have to stay on track and apply it to that credit card.

We had planned to put it all on our home equity loan since we had just paid off our credit cards...

But now we plan to:

1.) Buy some things we need for our son that is due in July (we figure that if we use some of this money for that it will save us from charging it later so we are still getting rid of our debt)
2.) Put the rest on the home equity loan.

We played with the idea of going to CA. to visit family in the fall but decided to wait untill we had a little less debt.
