I found this great article on Your Money: 12 Ways To Save Money Without Scrimping

It's refreshing in that it doesn't same the same old same old. It's all about perception. If you think you are poor, you are.

Are there any points that you identify with or that are new to you?

That is a great article. I think staying away from the catalogs and stores is one thing that has really helped me. I also had to retrain myself on what I need and want.

I liked this...I get tired of always reading about taking lunches (I'm a SAHM!) or giving up $5 coffees (wouldn't spend that, anyway) so finally...something a bit more for me.

I totally agree with the one about spending less time feeling poor. If you do that, you'll FEEL rich regardless of how much money you have in the bank.

I like that article. It was totally different than the ones about saving on that $5 cup of coffee! I agree, sundowner2, I eat free at Head Start when I'm working so ussually that stuff doesn't apply to me either.

Enlist other people.
Hold a contest with friends to see who can save the most in a month...

This is a great idea for me! I think I will try this!

This article was great. I lately have been having the, "I feel poor" moments. I have decided that it doesn't matter and we really aren't poor, so I just need to get over myself. At least this article reflects my own life a little more. I am a teacher and with a 20 minute lunch, if I don't bring it, I end up with school food or nothing until I get home. Thanks for the article.
