Ok, I work in a small office with about 5 other women. I hate my job. My boss is my step dads ex-wife and she is majorly bias. The past couple days have been horrible. I just want to walk away. I know I shouldn't because I have a baby almost here and cobra insurance coverage is so expensive. However I don't think the stress is good either. Its hard to find a new job when you are working 40 + hours and people take the pregnancy into consideration. My boss just likes to cuss and yell alot and she is one of those people who are so inconsiderate to others that no one says a thing, in fact they conform to her. What should I do?

Well, if the baby is almost here, does that mean you are taking 6 weeks maternity leave? Maybe you can apply at a temp agency or something and get something else lined up for when you return to work AFTER the baby is born?

If I were in that situation (and there is no way I would work for my step-dad's ex wife, but SHE is a different story) I would go above her. Doesn't sound like she's very professional, and maybe others feel the same way but are afraid to do anything?

If going above her isn't an option, I would be looking for another job. Maybe you can find something that you can begin after your maternity leave? At least knowing that you were almost done with that job, may help a little?

That was one way of going I definitly entertained. I still have about 8 weeks till the baby comes, I hope I can make it. My maternity leave would have been unpaid anyways so I am definitly searching mommysavers for some real ways to save so we can make it thru.

There are a couple of things I used to do when I knew the stress was getting to me.
Meditate --- it doesn't have to be formal or exact, just practice sitting still, relaxing, slow control breathing and either close your eyes or at least unfocus them. You will get a great benefit and may be able to do it several times a day. A minute or two will do wonders.

The other thing is remind yourself that you don't stoop to the levels of behavior that you are witnessing. So when things are flying and even if they are aimed at you, you can mentally rise above it and emotionally remove yourself by just observing the bad behavior. You will be less tempted to put your two cents in which often doesn't help any anyway.
