I bought these two thingies at a Pampered Chef party that makes "uncrustables". I bought it years ago before I had kids and never used it much. Now I use it everyday! It is like a cookie cutter with a plunger on the top. You put your filling in the center of the bread, put another slice of bread on top, press down and plunge. It creates a little round sandwich that is sealed. It comes in 2 sizes, I use the larger one the most. It fits regular bread perfectly. I make my son ham sandwiches and my youngest DD pbj with these. It might be something you "uncrustable" lovers would be interested in.

I found a link to it.

I have to weigh in on this one. I use alot of these convenience foods. I can only speak for myself....but I work and have 3 year old twins and am always on the go. It makes it very easy to hand the kids a snack to tie them over until we get home. Alot of times if my son hasn't eaten at school I can hand him a sleeve of goldfish or crackers w/ the spreadable cheese and that makes him happy.

My daughter adores the Uncrustables and we buy them at Costo and they are only about .40 cents each.....very cheap in my book.

I also bought some Cinderella and Buzz Lightyear snack containers and will package up snacks sometimes if I have time. I know it's alot cheaper to package it all up yourself but sometimes I just need to grab and go!

My favorite convenience food?? Chocolate milk boxes that are pasteurized so they don't have to be refrigerated. I first bought these when a hurricane was about to blow through our city and the kids love them!!

Great thread!!

Something else I personally feel like is a waste is thr Diaper Genie. Whynot just bag it up in a grocery bag and take it out? I don't tend to leave poopy diapers in the kids room anyway, and that gadget won't change my mine. IMO[/quote]

I agree, we brought one earlier this year and it's already in the garage
