It's not that we are adjusting our budget, but just being more careful with our purchases.

Instead of running back to town for something I forgot, I just do without or find a substute.

We don't take any of the old cars out for a sunday ride anymore, unless we are going to church or out to eat.

I try to buy only enough fresh fruit that we will eat without it going bad.

I think the main thing that I have notice is that we have less extra money to put in savings every week.

I Too Agree with Adjusting Your Withholdings!

We Are Getting An Extra 105.00 Per Pay check !

Other than that, I Am Just driving Less and Buying Less I Guess.
I Haven't Noticed Too Much in Increase in our Bills.

I Still Alot the same Amount I always Have For Gas/groceries.

We are exremley tight right now. With me leaving my job it doesn't help overall but we were also getting to the point where I could not afford to even put gas in my car to get to work anymore. Not to mention gas prices went up 10cents again today to $3.78. When is it going to end. I feel we are one step away from becoming behind on bills but so far we are barley hanging in there.

I have changed many different ways.

I only leave if I have to. I will need more then one reason to leave.

We started a large garden to help with groceries and us not be deprived because the produce is so expensive.

I shop 2 times a month...if that. I will only stop in the store in between trips to get what we need right away. Ialso do my shopping at Aldies.

I actually dont mind doing speed limit. I will take the smaller highways so I do not feel pressured to speed.

These are just a few things I now do. I am sure there are more.

We are staying home a couple days a week and primarily doing free stuff when we do go out (zoo membership, playdates, park, etc.). We will finish out the year with DD's dance class (which is our farthest drive each week). But, I'm not sure if we'll put her in dance class again this year or not. It depends on whether she gets into the local magnet school, or whether we homeschool.

We always bring lunch with us now when we go out, as well. We also have been talking about getting a freezer for a couple of years and tonight we finally did it. I'm excited to see how much farther I can stretch our grocery dollars to start filling it up!

We have been making meals with what we have in the house instead of running to the grocery store for just an item or two, and making more of an effort to use stuff up before it goes bad.

We have been eating out less. So far, we haven't had any problems sticking to our budget. I have started carpooling to work, which has cut my gas back a lot.

we have been driving the small car it gets great gas mileage i also only go to town on mon and tues for the most part i now run my errands while the boys are at martial arts so that cuts down on trips dh will stop on his way home if we need something(there are 4 stores by his work) so that helps.. we try not to spend money on anything but a neccesity.

Right now we plan any extra car trips (other than driving to work). DH has started commuting with a friend. One week dh drives , next week the other person drives.
I go on maternity leave at the end of June and at the same time the lease is up on one of our vehicles so we will be going down to one car.
We are putting a garden in. I'm being extra careful with grocery shopping, sticking to a list.

Oh I forgot the plan to not eat out dinner as often. We have a family that we would go out to eat with at least twice a month for dinner. I suggested that one week she host at her house and the other I would host at mine. I can make dinner for all 10 of us for half what we were spending going out to eat once!! I am now saving over $100 a month on that one change and I don't feel like I am suffering by not socializing!!
