Since we filed with Turbo Tax and payed the fees by having them take it out of our tax return it pushed our date way back. We thought we were originally get the stimulus today (and when they changed the dates it changed to the 5th) but it didn't happen because we didn't pay with credit or debit card for the fees. Those who did pay with credit or debit card will still get theirs on time.

We filed using Turbo Tax and we got ours dir. dep. today, just as the chart said.

Be sure when you're checking on the website that you are going by the last two digits of the Head of Household, the main filer on the return. Like I have to use my dh's info, as mine won't work, even thought we filed joint.

Q. I chose direct deposit for my 2007 tax refund but also requested my electronic filing and/or tax preparation fees be deducted from my refund. Does that affect my stimulus payment?

A. If you requested that your electronic filing or tax preparation fee be deducted from the amount of your refund, you have entered into a financial agreement with the tax preparation provider or e-file software company for a refund anticipated check (RAC). Both Refund Anticipation Checks (RACs) and Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) are bank products. The money that is deposited into your bank account comes from the financial institution associated with your electronic filing software provider or tax preparation provider, not directly from the IRS. Taxpayers who use RALs, RACs or enter into similar loans or financial agreements with their tax professional or tax software companies will not receive their economic stimulus payments by direct deposit. Instead they will get a paper check that will be issued according to the schedule that has been published for paper check distribution.

Exactly from the irs website! If you took your fees out of your refund you will be getting a paper check like I said before!

We haven't gotten ours yet. DH ss# is in the 30's but we did an amendment to add DS on our tax this year so we will be getting more back. I'm not too corncern about it. It will get here when the time comes eventually. If not the IRS can pay us back next year but that's how IRS I think they are quick to get money from you if you owe them but giving back they are slow. Its like their dragging their feet and they don't want to give people back their money.

Yes this is Right and I Think this has Been Discussed on Here Many times.

I Did Turbo Tax , Had My Fee taken out Of My Refund, ( Processed through another bank) And I Got My PAPER Check Today.

Unless the IRS has your Bank Routing number- You won't get Your Money Direct Deposit!

It may be an extra but there are some people that are counting on this money. I'm not one. However there are many people that have lost jobs, can't afford to buy food and need this extra.

Amazing...yes, we paid the fee up front, via debit card, to Turbo Tax, which is probably why we got ours via Dir. Dep. today. I had no idea it would make such a difference! Guess I won't groan about it next time to dh. Still don't see why we have to pay a fee, though!

Wow, I didn't even know they were sending out paper checks already. We had return loaded on the H & R Block card so we are expecting a paper check. But according to the IRS site it won't be mailed until the 23rd.

this is correct if you did not pay for your fees out of your own acct and had them taken from your return you will be getting a paper check so check the irs website for the paper check schedule they started mailing those last week as well.
