I heard today if you did your taxes by Turbo Tax, that you would be getting a paper check. Even if you had direct deposit. Anyone else heard this?

If you had your fees taken directly out of your refund then yes you will be getting a paper check, but if you paid for it any other way you should get it normal!

I just found this out today when I was looking at the IRS site. It was in the Q&A. I will say this is the first time I had heard about this. I think this will affect a lot of people that was not aware of this....

What Jenny said...and if you used the bank through Turbo tax (Santa Barbara Bank & Trust). you'll get a paper check. We didn't pay anything for Turbo Tax (State FArm promo) , and used Direct deposit and got ours today.

There is a nother thread that says IRS: Where's my stimulus, you can goto there and put in all your info it will tell you what amount you're getting and when to expect it.

I guess this is what will happen to us too. Our paper check should be mailed out June 21. Whatever.
It was supposed to be direct deposited yesterday and it wasnt there. Everyone that I know who used turbo tax is having the same issue.

DH used turbo tax, printed out the results and mailed it in. We got our tax refunds via direct deposit (as we do every year) and got our stimulus rebate via direct deposit as well.

They had a segment on our news about this and they called the IRS directly. Person at the IRS said IT DOESN"T MATTER who you did your taxes thru, if you got your refund via direct deposit then your stimuls check will come the same way.
