Thankfully not this year. We've had years where we simply couldnt even afford to put gas in our car and buy groceries.

However this year with the extra stimulus tax refund it's helped us out. We own a very gas efficent car and when it use to cost us $16 to fill now costs us $32 to fill .

We practice simple/frugal living. Without that I think we'd be sinking!

We haven't and we won't. I'll cut our internet, dish, and other "extras" long before it comes to that.

I have before0--but not for quite sometime. And, when I look back on the times that I did, it was my own fault for overspending in another area. I love to travel, including short overnight trips with my daughter; so I may take her overnight to an amusemsnt park, water park, etc. and then find I'd spent all of my gas money--I'm over that now!! Still do the trips, only at a much decreased frequency and with better budgeting[/left]

We're not using our credit cards except for my husband's traveling expenses which he is reimbursed for with his job.

Not us. We are eating out less than we used to. We spend more on groceries now (with higher prices), but it is still cheaper than eating out. I have started carpooling with a work friend, so my gas costs are way down.
