We have USAA as our bank of choice and love that we can make deposits at home, simply by scanning a check and entering in the info on the bank's website. I love how convenient that is!

how many of you have that option?

It's a very cool concept but scary at the same time. How long has that been around? I'd be worried about some type of theft or fraud, especially during the first years it was available. That's just me though...I worry over our banking accounts way more than necessary.

I have USAA too. Tried it when it first came out (what 6+ months ago?) Unfortunately, my scanner isn't compatable with their formating so, right now, I still can't do it but it is a great feature. I can't wait to start using it though (someday). I miss the quick post service they had with UPS too. Take a special deposit envelope to UPS and they overnight to them -no charge to me. It was great. But, I do like that I don't have to pay to mail my deposits down there by snail mail, only takes 2 days to show up.

I have usaa also and we have deposit at home too. I did it once and I like the option but I feel bad for the person who wrote the check. At least when you bring a check to the bank for a deposit, the person who wrote it knows the bank will despose of it properly. If you let people scan them at home who knows what people will do with the check?? It bother's me! Checks make it easy to steal someone's account information, all the info is right there!
