When it comes to money and finance and you and your DH/SO "on the same page"?

I can honestly say DH and I ARE when it comes to finances. We both want the same things financially in the same order and are working together to achieve our goals.

Slowly but surely we'll get there....

This can be a huge issue in a marriage, can't it?

This is one reason I like joint accounts and not separate ones. It forces us to constantly review where we are and where we are going. I would get really resentful if he spent thoughtlessly and I scrimped and we avoided the whole subject by having separate accounts.

Same page? Probably not. But I think we're usually on the same chapter! And for sure the same book.

We are on the same page financially (but not when it comes to home decorating!)

I had to put not even in the same book-that was such a cute choice! LOL
No way, my dh is getting better but he still wants to spend spend spend. He did really well after reading Total Money Makeover, but now he's back to his same old ways of eating lunches out and wasting money on junk food at gas stations, etc. He thinks b/c he makes so much money he should be able to spend what he wants. We tried giving him a set amount of cash to waste every week but then he would just put double on the check card when that ran out. He can easily blow $100 a week. He doesn't realize how all the little amounts he wastes add up every month. But I will give him credit for trying to do better this past year. Luckily I handle the finances or else we wouldn't have savings that's for sure!

This is the same exact problem that I have with DH... I cannot IMAGINE how things would be if we had a joint account!!!!! Oh the horror!
