We moved into the house we are in now about four years ago. I LOVE it. We upgraded from the apartment -- to the starter home -- to our current house. I do not want a bigger house because I do not want to clean any more than four bathrooms!! Our house is plenty big and we got a good deal on it. I love it actually and we have a VERY affordable mortgage.

If I do move again whoever buys my house has to take all my stuff to because I am not taking anything. I hate moving my stuff!! (Although I have recently started getting rid of stuff!!)

LawDawg - what part of Atlanta do you live in? We are in Buckhead. Also - I take it you went to UGA from your screen name - Dh and I both graduated from there.

We are looking to move in the next year or so. We spend a fortune in gas, so we want to move closer to his job. Plus I really HATE the schools out here.

We also thought we'd be here forever but I realized something. I don't like the country. I love the low crime rate-I hate the fact that the local stores close at 8 and 9PM.

We have to sell our house and move - even though we really would rather not. DH lost his job at the beginning of Jan. and we have stuck it out this long, but his new job - which he started April 1st - pays less than half of his former job! He has the potential to do much better in the next 5 years, and it is a much better job situation for him, BUT we can no longer afford our mortgage. So we are putting our house on the market this month and hopefully moving to a smaller house with a smaller mortgage in a different part of town with less taxes. Actually we may have to rent for a while before we buy again.

We are totally stressed about it because we really HAVE to sell house, and there are currently 12 other houses in our neighborhood for sale. We really can't stay here for too many more months because our mortgage is about half our take home pay and it is REALLY tight to pay the rest of our bills and buy necessities for the rest of the month!

I wish we were moving! I love to move! I love boxing up everything - getting rid of junk hidden who knows where. Finding things that have been lost for years. I especially love moving day when you get to get into your new house and it's completly empty. Then to unpack each box and find a place for everything. To have left over stuff that you can get rid of knowing you don't have room for it.

We're cramped here, but doing ok. I mentioned to my oldest son once that when we move we might find something he'd been looking for at the time. We had been planning to put the house on the market that month, of course we've since decided to stay. Now he tells me all the time that he wants to move - anytime he can't find something he says he can't wait till we move so that he can find what he's looking for.

We're almost through paying off our debt. The van will be paid off in October. Then we'll be working on a Fully Funded Emergency Fund, then we probably will need to save up a little more to add to the money we'll get from selling our current house. I have a feeling we're not moving for a couple more years!
