So I think they only count children in the stimulus package if they were claimed on your tax form for the taxes of 2007.

Did you and your husband file separately?! I mean if you work part-time and didn't make enough to pay taxes personally...yourself...maybe that's why you got $300. Since it goes by the last digits of your social...maybe a $600 check will still come for him. that's all I can think of!

Thank you! Yeah I knew I whould't be getting anything for him, considering he is only 6 weeks. And I filled my 07 taxes before he was born.

Well we are not married yet, so ares were done separatley. Well I worked full time from January 07 to March 07, 40 to 40+ hours a week. Then from June 07 till January 08 I worked part time 28 to 36 hours a week.

I pretty much got everything that I payed in on my taxes, there was alittle I did it get back though. But I guess I should call just to make sure, every little bit helps. Thanks!

This whole business has me confused. We'll just take what we get as it is "extra" money, regardless of the amount.

But I did think unless you made over a certain amount or under a certain amount that there wasn't a deduction to the $600/person; $1,200/couple; $300 per child amounts. But everyone is complaining that they're getting less than they thought and don't know why they got less. So somewhere, somehow things have really gotten confused.

I'll be disappointed to get less than the $2,400 we're expecting but like I said, it's extra money so I will not be complaining about any amount that I get.
