My husband just told me last week that I was. I didn't really think I was that bad. He had terrible credit when we got married, so I handle the finances. I'm just trying to make sure he doesn't overspend and get us in the same situation he was in. I like to set a budget, but he never follows it.

Count me in the control freak category too!!

I have to be in control of the money or else we would be fighting bounced checks and unpaid bills...like in the beginning of our relationship (before we moved in together)! So DH and I have been there, done that and we both are less stressed about money when I have control. We have joint checking and saving accounts and he has his own debit card, but he is really careful about asking me about big purchases beforehand and since he is not much of a renovator or landscaper I don't have to worry about him spending a ton of money on these things. In our household, things run more smoothly when I am in control of the finances.
