I don't use debit cards because I can't afford to lose money and have to wait days or longer to get it added back. We use credit cards for everything. We made a really big purchase recently and as soon as it went through (minutes we're talking) our credit card company was calling with a fraud alert. They put a freeze on the account until we called back. Personally, I feel safer that way because at least the money isn't coming right out of our account - don't want to lose hundreds or more that I need to pay bills or buy groceries.
