I filled my truck yesterday at $3.76 and it still cost me $70.00 and it wasn't even empty. In our town it is $3.99. My DH just called me, he works about 30 minutes from home and it is $4.10 there today it jumped .20 in two days!!!

It just jumped up from $3.77 to $3.88 here overnight. Ridiculous!! I really hope that there is not any major hurricanes this year. I do think oil is going to reach $200/barrel soon, we're already over halfway there! I am a little worried about everything going up as well, especially the food costs.

I bet it won't be long until they raise the gas taxes here, especially since the revenue from the gas taxes will lower as people chose to drive less and use more fuel efficient vehicles.

I'm not sure how much gas is here now. On Sunday it was $3.60 a gallon and I filled up for $44.01, the van wasn't quite empty as it normally takes $60 to fill up. I haven't driven it since Sunday and don't plan to drive until Saturday so that fill up will last me quite a while .

Yep, it's mostly taxes!
Oil is a finite resource though so even if the price goes down again in the long run it can only get more expensive.

I remember Bill Bryson saying he invited his next door neighbours over to his house once and they drove! I guess Americans are going to have to learn how to walk. (I'm only kidding btw I know that is just a silly stereotype. )

The gas station at the end of my street went from $3.81 to $4.01 yesterday! On mapquest you can check gas prices nationwide and it is $5.00 in CT and NY. How much higher do you think it will go? DH and I each commute 50 a day round trip and we can't car pool bc I work days and he works nights and weekends.

Kidding or Not - this is Funny and True! I Don't Know Many Walkers -
Seriously I Know People Who litterly Drive like 100 yards Up the Street. Instead of Walking..

We know A Girl from the UK and she thinks this is so Bizzare
