Between 3.90 -$4 here. Bugs me that we're on the higher end of the scale from the looks of it considering we have the highest unemployment in the country and one of the highest foreclosure rates. Just no breaks for Detroit.

Anyone else filling up more frequently even when trying to save gas? I find that I will stop and "top off" the tank whenever I see a good price. Before I would just let it get to E then refill the entire tank, but I think that is working against me since in that time gas can go up .20- .25 cents. So instead, I will fill up just to get the gas at a certain price since it will only continue to go up and I feel like I will spend more down the road. KWIM?

Anyway, I am certain it will by sky high next week with Memorial Day coming up... UGH.. and the oil companies are making record profits...

The speed at which the cost is increasing is just insane. I want to know, really, how can it go up SO MUCh in just a few days???? Something's fishy....

Our public transportation is pretty much not there, so here it's drive or stay home. One thing I have been doing is not filling up the whole tank if it will be a low-driving week. That way I free up that $ for groceries or other things and put more gas in when I get paid again. It doesn't save any $, but it frees up money to get through the week.

Last I checked here it was $1.34/litre (about $5.07/gallon). That was a week or so ago. It might be up again since then. I truly don't know because I sold my car last month. DH has his, but he fills it up.

I'm bicycling and LOVING it.

I can't even remember the last time gas was as cheap here as what you all are complaining about there, lol. (We complain too, believe me.) That would be going back a couple years for sure.

I was going to get gas at Costco on Weds when it was $3.60 a gallon. I was pressed for time so I stopped on Thursday and paid $3.66 -- today it was $3.75!!

I was watching one of the financial channels this week and there was an "expert" on there who said they think the oil "bubble" (the price is set after all in a speculative market as a commodity) will burst and oil will come back down to around $100 a barrel by the end of the year. I sure hope so!!

I paid $4.04 at the cheap station today - highest ive seen is $4.09 and that is up the street. Cost me $64.60 to fill the trailblazer. Only cost me $60 last week!

I'm on the low end of this, thankfully. Paid $3.58 today (Missouri). It scares me to death to see it go over $4 for lots of you.

This is one big reason I'm on this forum -- the gas prices are forcing me to find money elsewhere!

Uck, this just makes me wanna hurl!

The same station that was 3.99 yesterday, is 4.03 today.
