... your house / rent payment?

Can you guess what I'm doing right now?

We pay our mortage via the internet. Love it! I can pay on the last possible day and they don't charge any extra. Now I was looking at our coupon book when they sent it this year (which I never use) and it says that I can pay by phone but they will charge me extra to use that method. Of course the coupon book never mentions that you can pay by the internet.

Anyway, my house payment has been made -- another month I get to live here!

I love using the internet to pay my mortgage also. Really makes me feel better to be able to trace the payment.

I was just paying bills too. I love being able to track things with just a click.

We definitely pay as many bills online as we can. In fact, we don't even have checks for this checking account because when we moved we had a ton of checks from our other account with our address on them. Since a lot of places won't accept a check without an address on it and we are hoping to only be in the apartment another year, we decided just to skip getting the checks for now since we wouldn't use them.

Our bank also offers bill pay online and if they can't send the money directly to an account, they will actually send off the paper check for us. That is really nice!

We also pay some of our bills (including our rent) on our credit card because we earn points that way and we know we will be able to pay it off every month. Actually my husband just goes ahead and pays it every two weeks when he gets paid so we know it is taken care of.

Most of our bills are automatically withdrawn (mortgage, utilities, car, insurance). Only our credit card bills and intermittent things are not automatically withdrawn, and those I pay via webbanking w/ my bank.

I pay our mortgages via the internet also! I love using the internet. It's so convenient.

I pay my rent by cheque. There isn't any other way to pay it.

Ours is auto deducted from our checking account. We got a quarter of a percent off the rate when by doing that.
