I am sick! In Florida, my electric bill this month was $366.00 and my water bill was, are you sitting down? $300. That's the highest it has ever been. Our daughter's bathroom had a leak in it and we didn't know about it and then we had to fill the pool up a little. W ealso haven't had rain in a month so we had to hand water the lawn! Usually though it is about $150. I think I might move North now!

electric/water combined = lowest has been $157 and has been as high as
$280 in the hottest months of summer (you can't live in Fla without AC)

we have well water for our sprinkler system so that helps

phone/internet = $55
cellphone = $72
cable = $80 (which we are going to be evaluating and possibly reducing since we don't need to be watching that much tv anyways)

just started having to pay for garbage/storm water usage...paid $60 combined for the rest of the year so I'm not sure what it comes out per month just yet

I live in Florida and our bills are much more reasonable.

Electric $100-200 (highest in summer)
gas (water heater) - $30- 60
water - $40 (garbage is included)
sewer - none - on septic tank
phone - land line $26
cell phones and long distance - $80
internet/cable (dh has to have his HD and this is TOO HIGH for me) - $130

So, about $300 a month on essentials (I consider a phone an essential, but am considering getting rid of the land line and just using cell phones).

gas usually runs us about 105/ month (on budget billing)
electric about 115/mo
garbage is tied into our property taxes (i think about 35/year)
water is about 40/month

and that is with being very frugal. utilities are high in this area especially in the wintertime.

our utilities are just nuts if you ask me.

electricity varies anywhere form 100-230 a month (depends on if the furnance or air is on) our small town has our own light plant wich is good in the sense we are hardly ever without power but it costs us more.

heat we use fuel oil so no gas at our house thats about 1400 a year

water/garbage bill 2months is 90 bucks

We're on a budget for electric that's now $135. a month, gas depends on how cold it is. Most of the year it is only $10 a month b/c we don't use the heat often (fireplace), but Nov-middle of Feb it can be as high as $130. City (water, sewer and garbage) is about $45. And cable, phone and internet, well I won't even tell you b/c Dh works for the cable company and we get an awesome package.

Many of you are getting gooooood deals on utilities! Ours are killing us.

Gas for heat and hot water: $223 on a budget each month
Electric: averages $230/month
Phone/two cell phones (one is for husband's business - self employed)/Internet/cable: $301/month
Water/sewer: $300-500 per quarter. The summer is higher because we water the lawn occasionally top off the pool.

Prices are definitely lower in other parts of the country. Our town taxes are $6300/year for the average home in our town.

Water/Electric/Trash $110
Gas was $40 last month - our water heater runs off of gas so we always have to pay some sort of gas bill
