Say you went to a fair/festival and was going to play a game. You gave the carny and $20 and the game cost $5. The carny gave you back $50 bill and (5) $1 bills.

Would you give the money back? Would you keep it? If you didn't realize it until you got home, and the festival was still going on, would you return to give the money back? Be honest!

This actually happened to someone I know.. they gave the money, the kids were all running over to the game, the carny was telling them not to start yet...it was chaotic..the change was given and money put in her pocket.

The parent didn't realize until later, but never thought to give it back.

I honestly, would probably give it back, but if I didn't realize it until I got home, probably not.

What would you do?

I always check my money there so I would have given it back then. But if I didn't discover it until I got home, I wouldn't go back to return it.

I always check my change right away too, so I would have given it back.
Had I somehow gotten home and realized it, I am not sure. I don't go to festivals intown much, it would be a trip. If it was a store, I would certainly return it, people get fired over having that much missing from their till. I am not sure a carnival worker keeps track of how many games were played? Not that it really should be any difference, but I wouldn't drive real far to return it.

I was a carnie for a summer and my first thought was "I don't know a carnie that would be that careless with the money." I also know I would have checked the money right then and would have given it back.

I think it would depend on how far away it was from my house. If it were a big inconvienece for me I don't think I would go out of my way. If I drove right by there anyway I might stop.

I suppose the opperator thought it was a $10?

If I was still at the fair when I discovered it I would definately have given it back. If it was not till after I got home and it was a fair that is leaving town then I would not give it back.
