I pay all my bills online so I just usually get online and set up the payments as soon as I get the bill. I do schedule them to be paid on their due date.

I have a spreadsheet where I keep track of our money in and out of our bank account. It helps me to make sure we'll have enough for the bills when they are paid. I just keep an eye on the amount in the account before his next paycheck. As long as it's a positive amount we're good!

Sounds like its a trend around here. LOL

Dh gets paid every other week so I figure out a payment schedule based on that. His first check of the month pays the mortgage, his second pays the rest of the big stuff. Sometimes the stuff is late, most of the time not, depends on when he gets that second paycheck. I get paid every week so I try to pay what I can, but most items come out of his. I have about half of our bills paid autowithdrawel so that helps too. As long as the money is there, we are okay.

I voted that we pay them as soon as they arrive.

Most of our bills are automatically withdrawn from our checking acct on their due date each month. We just put XX amount in the checking each week to cover everything and use cash for most everything else we do.

I do receive one bill in the mail and I just send it back out the next day after it arrives.

This is exactly how we do it.

all of our bills, including mortgage, are paid automatically, usually about 2 days before due date. We pay our credit cards a few days early as well.
