DH has a good, seemingly stable job which he is constantly excelling in (I'm so proud of him)

We only owe $7000 on our van and it should be paid off by the end of the year (this debt is down quite a bit from last year) - then we'll be debt free!

We've decided to stay in our small house another year instead of moving up and possibly getting in over our head.

DH & I are on the same page financially and it makes everything seem ok!

We've been able to stay on top of everything including our massive medical bills during my medical crises.

DH has not been laid off even though his company his cutting back a bit. In fact, he just found out this morning that he is getting a noticable raise!

DS#2 needs new glasses, but it's been long enough since his last pair that our insurance will cover most of it.

DH has been able to work at home which saves us a ton on gas expense. He would normally drive 110 miles/day.

I'm getting some great freebies to put away for stocking stuffers next year. I may not need to spend anything on stocking stuffers!

We've been blessed through the generosity of others and haven't had to incur any more debt through this tight squeeze. Our church, some other Christian groups and several indiviuals have given gifts to help with gas expenses, etc. during my radiation and chemo. And, a few families got together and completely clothed my kids for the summer.

Our church will cover camp tuition for the boys to attend church camp.

DH and I are totally working together on our financial picture.

DH's job is permanent.
We have Military Insurances that are fabulous.
I make my own hours, work when I want to, and JUST GOT A RAISE.
Our Bills are always paid...unless I forget, and then I atleast have the money to pay them when I remember
I have mastered the art of couponing and sales shopping.
We are locking in at a great price for oil this winter!

While I work full time, 40 hours a week, DH just started a job that can virtually guarantee him the same. His last one, he averaged roughly 35 hours a week. This one seems more stable, as they say they are booked up with work for AT LEAST the next year. So yay for that....and all his paychecks (minus his weekly allowance for lunch and beer) go straight into our savings, which is constanly growing.
Our last few emergencies were perfectly timed, (if you can say that) with the growth of our emergency fund, as to not put us in any kind of bind. (remember the dog losing a toe to the lawnmower incident--ps-he's doing BEAUTIFULLY by the way )
All of our trips are paid for in full and with cash, so we won't have to worry about anything when we get there (think mexico in less than two weeks).
DH and I both have side jobs that make us "fun" money and money to add to our financial goals--pay off the travel trailer, save save save, then pay off vehicles and house.
We are always up to date on our bills, and in fact, are usually a month or so ahead of them.
We have zero credit card debt, and that thrills us to death, knowing we paid off over $22,000 in one year (all of 2007). Never again will we have to go back there, knock on wood.
I couldn't be happier with our financial situation, quite honestly.
Ask me that question a year and a half ago, and I would have cried.

So I think this is an awesome question so often we focus on the negitive aspects.

I totaled my car last week at the same time it means I am shopping around for a new vehical and I am able to spend less have a smaller car loan and be less commited to a car payment. Getting the payment down even $50 is going to put more funds to go toward the higher interest CC debt.

My DH works in the oilfields and with oil prices being high he is busier than ever. Every company is drilling like crazy to sell the oil while its high. DH's bonuses are great right now.
