If I am with my Mom and I want something, she will buy it for me and I pay her back. I don't think I have ever purposly taken her to buy something for the extra off, but if we happen to be there together, why not....I usually don't buy that much anyway.

In our store, "seniors day" wasn't so much about sales being exclusively for seniors, as it was about being especially for seniors. Anyone could get the sale prices (we didn't card them). But on seniors day, we'd have extra wheelchairs available, extra staff available to carry packages to cars...

I really see nothing wrong with this. It is kind of like when friends ask to go with me to the places that give Military Discounts so they can get things 20% off.
